When I contacted the police chief he was very disrespectful and asked "what you want me to do about it?" Then told me that his police can stop anybody for anything and hung up.
My one and only experience with the Duncan PD was very positive. The Chief was very helpful in a case of returning a lost item to me.
A duncan cop stopped me in the speed trap on highway 29, the area claimed by 4 different departments. He tried to get me to say that I was not wearing my seat belt, which I was. He then illegally demanded my ID and insurance as I had committed no crime.
I've always found the Duncan PD to be friendly. I'm not in contact with them very often, but I've never felt uneasy when I have been.
I since have heard similar stories from other people. Duncan is nothing but corrupt and dirty cops and the chief is the worst one.
